Before the sweet treats came our savory eats

Before the idea of a creamery, brothers Chris and Nick O’Sullivan opened their first concept in 1998 — Brothers BBQ. Serving some of Denver’s best BBQ, the brothers’ creativity would not stop there.

While living in Denver’s Park Hill and Mayfair neighborhood for 14 years, Chris realized that there were no local ice cream shops. With this idea in mind and a severe hankering for some good ol’ fashioned, handmade cream, the brothers took an ice cream-making course in Florida and Nuggs was born in 2014!
